Cairns and Hinterland, Qld.

Wow, I can't believe so much time has passed since our previous Blog Post and, of course, so much has happened in that period.

We needed to call into Bundaberg to have our BT50 car and Jayco caravan serviced. Then we needed to make our way North for our "Family Reunion" at Holloways Beach. Calling into our dear friends Ian and Sue at Mackay along the way.

On reaching Cairns we discovered further issues with both the BT50 and the caravan. None of them essentially serious but still requiring attention. While at Cairns we also took the opportunity to fit new Yokohama Geolander tyres to the BT50 to gain further reliability while travelling outback roads.

We stopped two nights at Rocky Creek Memorial Park to get back into "Travel Mode" again and two nights at Ravenshoe, our current camp, where we will celebrate our 49th Wedding Anniversary. At this point it is anybodies guess where we will celebrate the 50th.

Leaving Raveshoe on Friday morning we will begin our "Outback Way Adventure" in earnest with Perth as our destination.
